CHRISTMAS Markets are taking place in Birchwood this weekend – and there will even be a visit from Santa himself and some carol singing.

There will be nearly 60 artisan stalls at the event on Saturday, including award winners like To Pie For and the Cheshire Cheese Company.

There will also be other Christmas treats, arts and crafts and handmade gifts.

“Whether you are starting your Christmas shopping or looking for the finishing touches, Birchwood Artisan Market is the perfect place to shop,” a spokesperson for the event said.

The Christmas Market special will take place at Birchwood Shopping Centre on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
