A WARRINGTON primary school took part in a colour run in memory of a pupil who sadly lost their battle to cancer.

The children of Brook Acre Primary School in Padgate participated in the event on the school field to raise money for Cancer Research UK and remember their beloved classmate, Ella.

This was the second colour run the school has hosted in memory of the pupil, with the first held last year around the time of Ella’s 10th Birthday, following her death in the summer of 2023.

“So far, since our Colour Run began, we have donated £2892 to Cancer Research UK with our Macmillan coffee morning and this year’s colour run raising over £1200 this term alone.”

“The children show a real empathy and a passion for giving and we look forward to our next fundraiser for Children in Need when we take part in Bluey’s Dance Mode Challenge,” a spokesperson added.
