A FUNDRAISING page has been set up by a Warrington resident to help pay for life saving surgery for her beloved dog.

Lola is one of two beagles owned by Warrington resident, Alliyah Pardoe.

The four-year-old playful pup is typically happy-go-lucky, however, after a suspected fall or knock, that all changed.

Lola has now developed a painful condition where a foreign object has moved and is now pressing against her spinal cord.

“This is causing her immense discomfort and preventing her from enjoying her usual activities like walks and playtime,” said Alliyah.

“The vet has warned us that the pressure on her spine could lead to paralysis and incontinence.

“If this happens, it would severely impact her quality of life, and we may have to make the heart-breaking decision to put her to sleep.”

Alliyah will do anything she can to help Lola recover and hopes that surgery will remove the object.

“We’re determined to do everything we can to prevent this and give Lola the best chance at a full recovery,” she said.

“The good news is that Lola has a chance to avoid this outcome with urgent surgery to remove the object.

This vital operation will relieve pressure on her spinal cord and allow her to live the happy, active life that she deserves.”

However, this surgery and the aftercare Lola would need is expected to cost £3,700.

“This unexpected expense has come at an incredibly difficult time for our family, right before Christmas. We simply cannot afford this life saving surgery,” said Alliyah.

To help cover the cost of the surgery, Alliyah has organised a GoFundMe page, which has already raised £1,280.
