FIREFIGHTERS tackled a house fire in Birchwood this afternoon, Thursday.
Crews were called to the incident on Warrington Road at 2.50pm.
They found it involved a fire on the ground floor of a house.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a covering jet and a high-pressure fan to put out the fire and clear the smoke.
“The cause is believed to have been accidental.”
Two fire engines from Birchwood and Warrington attended the scene.
