AN emergency road closure is causing heavy traffic in Stockton Heath.
Orchard Street is closed both ways and diversions are in place.
This is due to Cadent Gas carrying out utility repair and maintenance works.
The road closure will be in place until 11.59pm on Tuesday, December 3.
Residents have been advised that delays are likely.
Queues were lining London Road this morning, Thursday, and there was heavier traffic than usual in and around the village.
