A SUSPECT has been named by police after being charged following a stop check on the M6 in Cheshire.
Officers from Cheshire Police arrested Peter Wiggins shortly before 6pm on Tuesday.
This came after officers stopped a silver Vauxhall Astra on the M6 northbound near Stafford services.
During a search of the car, officers recovered a large quantity of cocaine and a knuckleduster.
Wiggins, of Wandsworth Crescent in Blacon, Chester, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.
The 55-year-old has been remanded in custody and is set to appear before Chester Magistrates’ Court later today, Thursday.
