THE DEPUTY Prime Minister, Angela Rayner, has paid a visit to Warrington Ikea and praised the career progression for staff.
The Make Pay Work plan is part of the Government’s mission to grow the economy and help create opportunities by help more people stay in employment.
It was while promoting this scheme that Angela Rayner, MP for Ashton-under-Lyne, paid a visit to Ikea on Europa Boulevard in Warrington.

A video of her trip was uploaded to social media by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
“It was great to visit Ikea Warrington today and really great to meet all of the staff here and so many of them who started at a really young age here,” she said
“Ikea offered them really good wages, and then they went to university and stayed with Ikea because of the career progression and the apprenticeship routes they could take and the level of flexibility they offer to their members of staff.”
