A DAD in Latchford has brightened up the sky with his spectacular Christmas lights display.
Craig Middlemore is a floor layer from Latchford who has created a special festive tradition for his family.
Every year, the 39-year-old creates a spectacular display of Christmas lights outside his house on Pichael Nook.
The tradition, which this year included a whopping 15,000 lights, started for his son, Oakley.
“It was extra special this year as Oakley actually helped me decorate it all, from start to finish,” he said.
“It’s been a lovely father and son activity. It’s given me a bit of a buzz this year.”
Craig is a huge fan of Christmas, and the whole family look forward to the festive season.
“For me, and anyone that knows me, it’s literally a count down to Christmas from Boxing Day,” he said.
“It’s definitely working in the right direction to become a really great family tradition.”
Previously, the family have used the display to help raise money for charity – but this year they’re just doing it to bring Christmas cheer to Warrington.
“If you can put a smile of people’s faces at no extra cost, then mission accomplished,” he said.
Craig turned the lights on this week, and has already received messaged from residents who can see the glow of the lights from their house.
“Quite a few people were like ‘bloody hell I can see it from my house already’,” he joked.
The lights are on between 4.30pm until 9pm every day until Christmas Eve and will be on all day and night on Christmas Day.
