A LARGE emergency service presence was reported in a Warrington village yesterday evening, Sunday.
Cheshire Police, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service rushed to Watery Lane in Winwick.
This came following reports of a woman falling into a ditch and becoming stranded at around 6.45pm.
Following the rescue, the woman was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 6.45pm on Sunday, November 24, police were called to reports that a woman had fallen into a ditch on Watery Lane, Warrington.
“Police, fire and ambulance attended, and the woman was rescued and taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
“She is not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.”
