Tell me a bit about your business
Louie’s is a family run business named after one of the owner’s children. It started out in one of our other businesses – Hideout Tiki Bar - and then an opportunity arose in the temporary market and a stall became available.
What do you do? What services do you provide?
We offer freshly made New York Neapolitan style pizza alongside a variety of side options. We also offer pizza making classes, character visits and seasonal themed events.
Why did you decide to open your own business?
After years of owning various bars, owners Tom and James Glover wanted to tap into the food industry.
What’s your business background?
We have all worked in the hospitality industry for many years.
Why this type of business?
It was an opportunity to take on a new challenge.
Were you open before/during/after the Covid-19 pandemic? How did this affect your business?
We were open prior to Covid-19 so when the restrictions came into place we had to adapt to being takeaway only until things slowly lifted and we could resume as normal. Being takeaway only, we were still able to maintain a client base which then continued to grow as we fully reopened to the public.
