BAILIFFS have been called following the arrival of travellers in Stretton.
Two caravans and associated towing vehicles have pitched up without permission on land in south Warrington.
This is according to an unauthorised encampment log for Cheshire and Warrington, operated by Cheshier West and Chester Council.
The log, updated today, Thursday, by the Cheshire and Warrington Traveller Team, states that the group pitched up on land at The Barns on Stretton Road.
They arrived yesterday, Wednesday, on the privately-owned land.
The log states that bailiffs have been instructed to remove the encampment from the land.
The incursion follows recent incidents involving caravans pitching up without permission elsewhere in the town.
Recent unauthorised encampments have been reported at Bents Garden and Home in Glazebury.
