AFTER its recent closure, a teaching pool in Warrington is set to reopen following essential repair works.
Orford Jubilee teaching pool will open to the public and schools again from this Wednesday, the council has confirmed.
And Learn to Swim lessons are due to resume next Monday (November 25).
Issues relating to a moveable floor in the pool meant it had to close to the public at short notice last month.
But with repair works successfully completed it can now reopen and resume to normal.
However this follows a bout of recent pool closures at the popular facility, with the main pool also closing last month for maintenance works to be carried out.
Cabinet member for communities, culture and leisure, Cllr Tony Higgins, said: “I’m pleased that the repair works at the Orford Jubilee teaching pool have been completed and I’m grateful to our LiveWire members and pool users for their patience.
“We look forward to welcoming you back to the teaching pool shortly.”
The Aquatics Team will be in touch with all schools and Learn to Swim members impacted shortly regarding moving back to Orford so keep an eye on your emails for further information.
