A new book is out celebrating Thelwall's history.
Titled '110 Interesting Things You May Not Know About Thelwall From 923-2023', the book is penned by Jenny Jones, a member of the Thelwall History Group.
The book unveils a treasure trove of facts, stories, and images chronicling the village's past, presented in a question-and-answer format to engage readers.
It takes the reader through each century of Thelwall's history, revealing unknown details about the village and its people.
The publication was funded by the Heritage Lottery and stands as one of the legacies of the 'Thelwall 1100 Years a City' festival, organised by Ms Jones and her fellow history enthusiasts in September this year.
History buffs can secure their copy for £5 at the monthly Thelwall History Group meetings held at the Grappenhall and Thelwall Royal British Legion on Stockport Road, Thelwall, every second Tuesday of the month.
The book will also be available at the All Saints Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 30, and at the Lymm Heritage Centre.
For those unable to make it to these events, the book can be ordered through the online catalogue of Lymm Heritage Centre, with additional postage and packaging costs.
