ONE of Warrington’s favourite chippies has been named among the best in the country.
Queues stretching along the street are a familiar sight outside Penny’s in Stockton Heath.
It is known across town as one of the best.
Now it has been given an award in the national Good Food awards 2024/25.
Pannys won the Blue Ribbon, one of a only a small handful in the north west to win.
A spokesman said: “Our Good Food Awards recognise the hard-working teams who strive for culinary excellence within their field. Chosen for their food quality, service and value, our prestigious Blue Ribbon is bestowed upon those with high customer ratings/votes and is known as – the Blue Ribbon for Delicious Dishes.”
