AN arrest warrant has been issued to locate a Warrington man, found guilty of harassment and harming witnesses, who failed to appear in court for sentencing.
Gary Carroll, of James Lee House, Warrington, was due to be sentenced at Warrington Magistrates Court on Wednesday for a string of offences relating to harassment charges.
The 63-year-old originally pleaded not guilty for the offences which included three counts of harassment without violence involving three separate victims.
As well as two further counts of doing an act which harmed a witness / juror, which involved two of the same victims.
He was convicted of the charges on Monday, October 14, and was to be sentenced in a hearing at the magistrates courts this week.
Details of the harassment charges state that on June 24 of this year, Carroll left ‘numerous voicemails, missed calls, and attended the home address’ of a man.
On the same day the defendant also left 'numerous voicemails and missed calls' on the phones of two women.
Referring to the harming a witness charges, it was stated that Carroll on the same date threatened the man and turned up at his home which ‘harmed or was intended to harm’ him.
He also threatened another of the women victims from the earlier charges on the same day.
Addressing his absence in the court, district judge Dorwick said: “I am going to be granting a warrant. The defendant should be here.”
