THREE Warrington pubs are inviting patrons to help brighten the festive season for those facing solitude and isolation.

The initiative, spearheaded by Admiral Taverns' 'Proper Pubs' division, encourages customers to pen cheerful messages to individuals in local hospitals, care homes, or community groups.

The participating establishments in Warrington are the Chapel House, the Church Inn, and the Royal Oak Branch.

From November 15 until December 15, these pubs will provide an easy way for customers to spread some Christmas cheer.

The cards, which will be delivered on December 15, aim to foster a sense of connection and joy for those who may be alone during the holidays.

Pubs, especially in rural communities, often serve as social hubs and safe spaces combating isolation.

Research by think-tank Localis revealed that 68 per cent of British adults feel pubs contribute to reducing loneliness in their communities.

Admiral Taverns, which operates more than 200 pubs across England, Scotland, and Wales, has a strong commitment to community support.

Its Proper Pubs division has donated nearly 40,000 Christmas selection boxes to local charities over the past two years, with even more anticipated this year.

This latest initiative is another way for the company to engage its customers in spreading festive cheer.
