GREAT news this morning for Warrington with confirmation of the line-up for the returning Neighbourhood Weekender festival.
After a fallow year in 2024, the two-day music festival will return on bank holiday in May.
The event, which launched in the town in 2018, is worth £2million to the local economy.
And it is much loved by the tens of thousands of music fans who have flocked to Victoria Park in the past.
The line-up includes the likes of Stereophonics, James, Wombats and Dizzee Rascal.
While Warrington may not be known as a cultural giant, it more than packs a punch.
The Creamfields festival in Daresbury brings in 80,000 visitors in late August.
All in all, there is plenty to be excited about in 2025.
And the revamped Pyramid, supporting local talent should also open in the latter part of the year.
While the events in Warrington town centre which were so successful this year, such as Warrington Music Festival, will also be back on the agenda.
For some residents, there is an inconvenience for events such as Neighbourhood.
But for the vast majority of the town, this is great news and excitement is building already.
