An educational company has been named the best pet-related business of the year in a regional awards ceremony.
Animal Teach Ltd, run by zoologist and lecturer Naomi Ennis, was awarded the title for the Northern region at the Animal Star Awards 2024.
The company runs regular workshops across Warrington and especially Warrington Market and was recognised for its contributions to education through its zoology and natural history workshops.
Ms Ennis, a BSc zoologist with a PGCE in education, has built her company around her passion for teaching and the natural world.
Her workshops cover a range of zoology topics including animal behaviour, ecosystems, conservation, and animal husbandry.
A hands-on approach and respect for animal welfare are at the core of the company's ethos.
This approach aims to foster a love for animals and skill development in learners.
Animal Teach Ltd has received multiple accolades across the business and education sectors, including the SBSWinner title, Woman Who Achieves Special Recognition Finalist, and SME News Best Educational Workshop Provider.
Ms Ennis' commitment to community education is demonstrated in the programmes she develops.
She is also a young ambassador for The King's Trust and frequently shares her entrepreneurial journey to inspire others.
Ms Ennis said: "It has been wonderful to watch my business grow over the last few years.
"It takes hard work, determination, and motivation, but I love embracing each and every opportunity and challenge of being a business owner."
With the honour of this latest award, Ms Ennis looks forward to expanding Animal Teach Ltd's work and creating new opportunities for others to engage with the natural world.
