A MAN has been arrested after armed police were called to a fake attack.
At around 7.10pm on Saturday, officers responded to reports that a man had been assaulted at a commercial property in Sankey Bridges.
The local policing unit and armed police attended the scene on Hood Lane.
They found there had been no attack.
The caller, a 41-year-old man from Great Sankey, was arrested for misuse of the 999 system.
