WARRINGTONIAN Lily Benson is the sixth contestant to be evicted from the Big Brother house.
Lily is a 20-year-old Chinese takeaway worker from Warrington who entered the Big Brother house at the beginning of October.
She quickly became a fan favourite after she admitted the surprising reason why she joined the show, and was consistently predicted to win the series.
Lily didn’t prove quite as popular with her fellow housemates, though, as she became the most nominated housemate of the series so far, with 18.
Although she was saved by the public before, today was not her lucky day as Lily became the sixth housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.
Speaking to AJ Odudu and Will Best on Big Brother Late and Live this evening, Friday, she confessed that being evicted on week five isn’t too big of a disappointment.
“Well, I have been up for three weeks, so like to be saved twice, I’m so grateful,” she said,
“I thought I was going to be out on the first week so to be on week five, I actually can’t complain.
“Even if I was going to win, it wouldn’t be ethical because I would’ve wasted all the money anyway.”
The 20-year-old, who was supported in the studio by her mum and brother, seemed to take it on the chin when she was told that she was the most nominated housemate of the series.
“Bring it on, bring it on,” she said.
“But do you know what to be in week five and have the most nominations, oh my god.”
Lily was also asked about her rule breaks, as she frequently broke the rules of the Big Brother house.
Her rule breaks included telling Sarah she was going to nominate her, and even stealing and eating chocolate from a housemate, despite being on the losing team of a task and being restricted to rations.
“I did eat Segun’s chocolate, in the moment it felt nice but after it didn’t feel nice,” she said.
“I do not agree with any of my rule breaks, they were really bad, but like at the time it felt right, but obviously looking back it weren’t okay.
“It’s just when you’re deprived from sweets and chocolate and sometimes it’s an intense moment, you’ve just got to do it.”
Reflecting on her time, Lily does feel like she’s left he experience with more confidence and new friendships.
“I do feel dead confident, to go on here that shows confidence,” she said.
“Anyone to go into that house and experience that - confident.”
“I think [I’ll stay in touch with] Ali for sure, and honestly like Khaled and Nathan and Hanah.
“Oh, and Daze, I was just thinking about the people in the house but oh my days I can’t wait to see Daze.”
Big Brother is available to watch every day, except Saturday, on ITV2 at 9pm, or on ITVX.
