A PRISONER in Warrington has denied an allegation that he sexually assaulted a female prison officer.
Shaun Jaundrill appeared before Liverpool Crown Court of Friday for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
The 31-year-old is charged with sexual assault and assault by beating of an emergency worker against the same complainant.
Court documents state that the offences were allegedly committed at HM Prison Risley on October 21 last year.
Jaundrill, who is now in HMP Wymott near Leyland, appeared before the crown court via video link from the jail.
This came after the case was sent to Liverpool from Warrington Magistrates’ Court.
The defendant denied both charges and entered not guilty pleas.
Jaundrill was further remanded in custody to stand trial in April next year.
