A TEEN predator who sexually assaulted a Warrington schoolgirl during a game of truth or dare described himself as ‘f*cked in the head’.

Ryan French was jailed for the sickening offences which occurred on July 24.

The 18-year-old appeared via video link for his sentencing at Liverpool Crown Court last Friday, having pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual activity with a child and one of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Outlining the facts, David Watson prosecuting told the court that French had suggested him and the victim, who was said to be vulnerable and aged 13 at the time, play a game of truth or dare.

Within this game, the defendant began to dare the victim to remove items of clothing.

He then sexually assaulted the child multiple times which included digital penetration twice, Mr Watson explained.

Despite French telling the girl not to say anything, she told her mother what had happened, and French was immediately confronted about the incident.

This was then he ‘described himself as f*cked in the head’.

In a victim personal statement read out to the court, the girl said during the assault she felt ‘scared and confused’.

Mr Watson stated that French would turn 19 in a matter of weeks and has no previous convictions.

Defending, Paul Becker said his client confessed to him, ‘there are no excuses to what I have done’.

He added that he has had a ‘difficult childhood’ and has been in and out of the care system.

“The probation officer has spoken of the defendant’s significant mental health difficulties including having suicidal ideations,” he said.

Concluding, the Judge sentenced French, of Lodge Lane, Bewsey, to 30 months in detention.

A sexual harm prevention order was also issued for the length of 10 years as well as a restraining order stopping against him being in contact with the victim for the same period.

The defendant will also sign onto the sex offenders register for the rest of his life.
