THE INQUEST into a death of an 82-year-old woman who died shortly after having surgery in Tenerife has been opened.
Phyllis Yarwood, who lived in Appleton, died at Warrington Hospital on October 13, aged 82.
On Wednesday, the inquest into her death was formally opened at Cheshire Coroners Court.
The court heard that Ms Yarwood underwent surgery in Tenerife on September 20, before she was later moved to Warrington Hospital on October 10.
Senior Coroner for Cheshire, Jacqueline Devonish, formally opened the inquest which has been requested due to ‘family concerns’.
The inquest has been adjourned for further work to be completed and will be heard on April 15, 2025.
