A Birchwood interior design and fit-out company has joined the fight to save a baby hospice from closure.
Claremont selected Zoe’s Place, in West Derby, as its charity of the year in July and has since raised more than £10,000 to help keep the hospice's doors open.
The hospice, which provides support to families and care for children with life-threatening conditions, is in desperate need of funds for a new Liverpool facility.
Claremont's fundraising activities have been plentiful, including hosting its annual charity golf day at Carden Park, completing the Three Peaks Challenge, and organising monthly themed breakfasts for the team, with all proceeds going to Zoë’s.
Claremont also hosted its first-ever Claremont-Fest at Warrington Irish Club, featuring musical performances from colleagues and friends, a guest band, and a resident DJ.
Several of Claremont's team members have also taken on personal challenges, choosing to run half marathons and 10ks across the North West.
Business analyst Joe McKay, part of Claremont’s fundraising committee, said: "We picked Zoë’s Place as a charity to get behind this year.
"When we heard that Zoë’s Place was going through difficulties, we ramped up our fundraising efforts and hope to raise even more before the end of the year.
"Seeing the community come together for such an important cause has been amazing.
"We hope our donation will help the hospice continue its important work."
Claremont's managing director Tim Frankland added: "Fundraising and supporting community projects have always been at the heart of Claremont.
"Since we became an employee ownership trust in 2020, charitable giving has become even more central to how we operate, and our team chooses which charities and projects we’ll support each year.
"Zoë’s Place cares for babies and young children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and offers crucial support to so many families across the North West.
"We are hugely grateful that our whole team, as well as our suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, have all got behind the cause and are doing what they can to help keep Zoë’s Place open."
