APPLICATIONS for a programme offering free training to budding athletes in Warrington are now open.
LiveWire’s Talented Athletes Programme invites young athletes over the age of 14 to apply for a spot on the scheme.
The initiative offers promising athletes free support and training to help them reach their full potential.
Those who are selected to join the programme will be awarded a free annual leisure membership and given access to LiveWire's gyms.
They will also be given a training programme and general lifestyle advice to help them develop.
LiveWire aims to help young athletes on the programme thrive in their chosen sports.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 15.
Councillor Tony Higgins, cabinet member for communities, culture, and leisure at Warrington Borough Council, said: "We are immensely proud to support young athletes in Warrington, providing them with the resources and guidance needed to progress in their sporting journey.
"The Talented Athletes Programme is about enabling local talent to thrive and reach new heights.
"Many young athletes who have joined the programme have gone on to represent Warrington at regional and even national levels, showcasing the positive impact of our support on their athletic journeys.
"Make sure you apply for the programme before the closing deadline."
Applications are open to both previous participants and new candidates.
To be eligible, applicants must reside in or represent a sports club in Warrington, compete in a sport recognised by Sport England, be aged 14 or over, and ideally represent their county or country at junior or senior level.
