A MAN has appeared before the court after he was caught fly-tipping on CCTV.
Alan Higham, also known as Alan Cameron, dumped a sofa and some wood in an alleyway behind Rock Road in Latchford.
The offence took place on February 2 of this year.
The 40-year-old, of Grasmere Avenue, Orford, was recognised by a Warrington Borough Council environmental crime officer from footage of the incident.
Higham appeared before Warrington Magistrates’ Court last Thursday after pleading guilty to two charges for the illegal deposit of household waste and failing to cooperate with the council’s investigation.
He was fined £150, plus £500 in clean-up costs. On top of this, he also must pay a £60 victim surcharge cost.
The Environment Agency register of licensed waste carriers can be checked online at https://environment.data.gov.uk/.../search-waste-carriers...
