The Royal Air Force Air Cadets are set to host their Annual Festival of Remembrance this Saturday.

Organised by the 1330 (Warrington) Squadron, the event will be held at St Elphin's Parish Church on November 9 at 7pm.

The evening will remember those who have served and sacrificed for the UK, aiming to bring the Warrington community together.

Attendees can arrive from 6.30pm to allow time for reflection before the ceremony.

Flight Lieutenant Alan Radcliffe, commanding officer of the 1330 Squadron, said: "It is imperative for us, as a community and as a nation, to come together and remember the sacrifices made by so many.

"This festival is not just a tribute but also a reminder of the value of peace and the hope for a better future."

During the event, there will be performances by the Warrington Male Voice Choir and Warrington Brass Band, as well as readings and a wreath-laying ceremony.

A moment of silence will be observed to honour those who paid the 'ultimate sacrifice'.

Tickets cost £5 per person, with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.
