A VISION to build homes on dilapidated stables in south Warrington is back on the table.
Developer Calore Homes withdrew previous plans in May to build eight four-bedroom-plus homes at The Livery Stables in Thelwall.
The scheme also sought permission for the demolition of existing buildings at the Lymm Road site, a new access road from the highway and landscaping.
Now, these proposals for the green belt land have been redesigned and resubmitted to Warrington Borough Council.
Planning documents state: “The proposed site is ‘previously developed land’ where the existing buildings are becoming increasingly dilapidated, creating an eyesore within the conservation area.
“Redeveloping this site will not only enhance its aesthetic value, but also contribute positively to the surrounding environment.
“The proposed application has been designed with sustainability at its core, aiming to meet the needs of the present without compromising those of the existing neighbours.
“The development proposals provide high-quality housing that caters to the needs of communities and future generations.
“This approach ensures that the development is not only environmentally responsible, but also socially beneficial.
“We believe the submitted plans demonstrate that it is possible to create a high-quality, unique development with considerable architectural merit, which is both well-considered and viable.”
