A Warrington-based civil engineering contractor has started work on a major housing development in Preston.

PAS NW Ltd, the North West's 'leading civil engineering contractor', is bringing its expertise to Cardwell Farm, a site five miles north of Preston city centre.

The Pinfold Manor project, spearheaded by new client Wain Homes, is set to transform the 23.4-acre site off Garstang Road into a 'thriving new community'.

The task at hand for PAS NW Ltd involves building 47 much-needed homes, a key element in Wain Homes' plan to expand the local housing stock.

The houses will be a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom units.

PAS NW Ltd has been tasked with delivering the groundwork and infrastructure for the site, providing a solid base for the successful development of the housing scheme.

Fraser Linaker, managing director of PAS NW Ltd, said: "We are delighted to be working with Wain Homes on such a significant development in the North West.

"This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of Barton and the wider Preston area.

"Our client is committed to delivering homes for people who need them and our works are well on the way to hitting that objective for the developer and the people of Preston."

The project at Cardwell Farm is expected to play a key role in supporting Preston’s growing demand for new homes, with construction set to proceed over the coming months.

PAS NW Ltd is the principal contractor on the scheme.
