AN UNEXPECTED appearance from Padgate popstar, Kerry Katona, went down a treat with darts fans, as she took on the world champion at Parr Hall.

A Night at the Darts at Parr Hall on Sunday saw six of the biggest names in darts take to the stage to show off their skills.

But a special guest made an appearance last minute, and it’s not who you’d expect.

Kerry Katona, who is best known for being a member of Atomic Kitten, made a trip to Parr Hall, on Palmyra Square, after visiting her mum in hospital.

Sharing a video to her 840k followers on Instagram, Kerry explained that she went to the theatre for a completely different reason.

“So, I’ve come to pick my friend up from work at Parr Hall and it turns out it’s a dart night, and now they’re going to have me on the stage playing darts,” she said.

Thrown in at the last minute, the TV personality and former Padgate High School student danced her way to the stage to ‘I’m Sexy and I Know It’.

Dressed in a pink shirt and using matching pink darts, the 44-year-old took on reigning world champion, Luke Humphries.

“Didn’t expect to be playing Kerry Katona at darts today but was a great laugh,” he shared on social media.

Her surprise appearance at Parr Hall went down a treat with fans, despite confessing to them that darts might not be her strong suit and still in shock at how she’d found herself on stage.

“If it was pool, I’d be a lot better,” she told the crowd.

“Yeah, I can throw a dart. I’m so sorry I shouldn’t even be here people.”

When asked if she’s ever played before, she looked back to her youth in Warrington for experience.

“Yes, I used to have my own darts board and pool table and snooker table,” she said.

“I was brought up in Warrington in pubs, what do you expect?”

She might not have won the game against the world champion, even with six darts to his three, but she certainly won the hearts of the crowd who cheered as she played.

Though Kerry might not, A Night at the Darts will be returning to Parr Hall with Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler on November 2, 2025.

“What a night we had at A Night at the Darts’ at the parr hall,” said Chris Hodgkinson, from HC Promotions.

“The atmosphere was electric with the night featuring world number one, Luke Humphries, and fan favourite Nathan Aspinall. To have Kerry Katona to come along and play Luke was the icing on the cake.

"We do it all again next year with the homecoming of Warrington’s own Luke Littler on the bill - tickets are selling very fast.”
