A WARRINGTON schoolboy was invited to NASA to film a documentary.
Aneeshwar Kunchala, known for being a ‘mini David Attenborough’, recently paid a visit to NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Centre in Washington DC.
While at the centre, nine-year-old Aneeshwar learned how NASA’s research helps the planet.
Aneeshwar, who is The Kennedy Centre’s youth ambassador for the arts and environment, was also able to interview world leading scientists on topics such as tracking weather patterns, predicting natural disasters, and monitoring changes in ice and sea levels to understand climate change.
His visit was filmed for a short documentary which will be featured at the Earth to Space International festival at the Kennedy Centre and shown in schools in Japan, the UK, Senegal, and the USA, as well as to general audiences.
Aneeshwar, a Britain’s Got Talent 2022 finalist, said: “I'm thrilled with this incredible opportunity from NASA and The Kennedy Centre.
“Visiting NASA is my lifelong dream, and interviewing the director of NASA's earth science division and other scientists is beyond anything I could ask for.
“Another amazing thing I observed was scientists working on the Nancy Grace Roman space telescope in one of the cleanest rooms in the world.
“I got to know that this is planned to launch around 2027 far into space to take amazing photos of our space much better than the Hubble telescope.”
The documentary is set to be released in March/April next year.
