YET another Warrington house has been given the green light to be converted into a HMO.
It follows an application that was submitted to Warrington Borough Council in May seeking permission for the conversion.
The property in question is a five-bedroom, terraced house at number eight Salisbury Street in Fairfield.
Applicant JSKE Ltd has been given approval to make alterations to create a nine-bedroom HMO, or house of multiple occupation, for 10 people.
Planning documents state: “The proposed development seeks to provide a total of nine en suite bedrooms with a shared kitchen and dining space.
“The existing doors and windows to the front and rear elevations will be largely retained as existing.
“The existing outdoor amenity of the property will be retained and enhanced for residents’ use.”
On parking issues, plans add: “It is generally not considered a requirement for HMO properties to provide parking.
“In the event of a resident having access to a car, Salisbury Street does not have a parking restriction to the kerbside to the front of the dwellings.
“There is also ample on street parking available on Glazebrook Street to the rear.”
In granting permission, the council said: “On the basis of the above assessment, it is considered that the proposed development at the application site is consistent with policy and would not adversely affect residential or visual amenity or the Highway network.”
