A CHARITY which supports people with learning disabilities has been awarded funding for craft projects.

The Walton Lea Partnership, which provides learning opportunities for people with learning difficulties, received part of a £6,000 community fund from Redrow.

This fund, linked to Daresbury Garden Village, will be used to purchase craft items and materials for sessions held at Walton Hall.

Walton Lea Partnership's operations director, Sharon Harris, said: "We offer our learners a range of horticultural, upcycling and recycling projects, as well as retail and leisure activities, woodwork, and crafting activities.

"The donation from Redrow has helped us to further broaden opportunities for our learners, enabling them to continue to thrive and enhance their self-esteem.

"The craft items were identified by our learners as items that will enhance their experience at the Walton Lea Partnership so we’re very thankful that Redrow has helped fund this."

"The sessions we’ve helped fund widen learning opportunities for the young people and adults who take part and will empower them to make informed life choices."
