A meditation centre is running a five-week course aimed at helping people eliminate anger from their minds.
Odiyana Kadampa Meditation Centre is hosting the course to help people develop a patient and peaceful mind.
The course will run from November 13 to December 11 on Wednesday nights at The Old Fairfield School, Fairfield Street, Fairfield.
It aims to help individuals recognise, reduce, and eliminate anger.
The centre believes that true freedom only comes when individuals learn to control their minds and emotions.
It has been designed for anyone who feels like anger is getting in the way of their happiness or daily life.
According to the centre, human beings have spent most of their time and energy trying to improve external situations in their search for happiness.
However, the centre suggests that this method has not been effective, as problems and suffering continue to increase while happiness decreases.
The meditation centre argues that the correct method for reducing problems and increasing happiness is changing one's attitude from negative to positive.
Although the centre claims it is impossible to avoid life's difficulties, it states that learning to transform these difficulties can lead to a more stable and calm mind.
