A PLANNING application to transform the space above a Stockton Heath café into a flat has been submitted.
The building is currently used as the London Road Café on the ground floor, and a tattoo parlour on the first floor.
The café has an extensive menu and has been on London Road, in Stockton Heath since May 2023.
Now, a new planning application has been submitted to transform the upstairs of the property, where the tattoo parlour is, into a flat.
To do so, a change of use application must be approved by Warrington Borough Council to turn the commercial property into a residency.
The application form outlines the buildings previous residential use, as well as the impact noise would have on any future tenants.
“The property historically was for residential use, we had a tenant that wished to utilise the front room overlooking the high street as a tattoo parlour,” it read.
“We intend to erect a new stud wall to create a separate storeroom and bedroom. The property is extremely quiet, there is a fan at the rear which is serviced annually.
“The property downstairs is a café with very low noise levels, which closes daily at 5pm.”
Floor plans submitted with the application show that, if approved, the flat would feature one or two bedrooms, two or three storerooms and a bathroom.
