WARRINGTON residents have shared their experiences of meeting various celebrities.

These range from the late Queen Elizabeth II to Peter Kay to Mariah Carey.

Here’s what readers had to say about their celebrity experiences:

Clare Fearnley: I met Paul Weller in a lift in Selfridges in London, most miserable bloke ever! Also met Kris Akabusi at an event, absolutely lovely bloke and a really inspirational motivational speaker.

Ann Whiteside: I had a run in with Harry Hill during the course of my work and found him entitled and obnoxious. Saw him in a shoe shop in Battersea a few months later treating the staff in a similar manner, so he wasn’t just having a bad day.

Christie Bower: I contacted Carley Stenson from Hollyoaks after she attended a specialist trip to Lapland with my late son. I asked her to become a patron for a charity set up in his memory & we met up at Chicago Rock to discuss it... she was a truly amazing genuine young lady & 20 years on she is still patron for our wonderful Jump Children’s Charity.

Joanne Lloyd: Met Serge from Kasabian at Piccadilly Station in Manchester the night after seeing Kasabian, also met Mani from Stone Roses/Primal Scream in a bar in Manchester. Bumped in Guy Garvey from Elbow at Glastonbury and met Marian Keyes, the author in Liverpool. Also met Ian Brown getting on his tour bus outside the Parr Hall. All of them were really nice and had pics taken with us.

Jenny Allcock: I met Her Majesty the Queen at a charity event at Windsor castle and then had a conversation with Princess Anne. A very surreal evening as I wasn’t expecting to meet either of them.

Ryan Norman: Met Jill Scott at my work!

Tilly Mint: Mariah Carey in Macy’s New York City in 2007 with my daughter, she was lovely.

Dave Whittaker: Me and a work colleague accidently got very drunk with Phil Lynott and the rest of Grand Slam, his last band in a hotel in Motherwell in 1984. I got his autograph and still have it. He was off his rocker but a great laugh and very friendly.

Amanda Dodd: I served Johnny Vegas at Pets at Home in St Helens, he was buying tropical fish.

Lisa Sperrin Wong: Kerry Katona in A&E other night! She was lovely. My mum and her mum were in there.

Gemma Stott: “I've seen Peter kay on the way round Rivington Pike, could hear the voice straight away. Also seen johnny Vegas with his family on holiday in Wales when I was younger, and met Stephen Mullhern when he was filming in Chester.

Joshua Attew: I bumped into and had a chat with Ewan McGregor outside of a Starbucks, really nice bloke, I was in awe.

Alison Gail Rankin: Served Paul Wood when I worked at M&S kitchen at Gemini. Paul Crone also came in and Steven Gerrard has been in there and I served Jennifer Ellison.
