DELAYS to major roadworks in Lymm will see closures extended for another five weeks.

Work on Pepper Street to restore the setts in the village starts in June and were scheduled to run for 20 weeks.

However Warrington Borough Council has said the closures will remain for a further five weeks as the work is not complete.

Access will be under the control of the relevant contractor for the duration of the works. The phases of works, alternative routes remain the same.

Roads affected included Pepper Street from Rectory Lane as well as surrounding roads such as The Peppers; Longbutt Lane; Orchard Avenue; Scholars Green Lane (East); Grove Rise and Domville Close.
