A SUSPECT has been named by the courts after being charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The charge relates to an incident on Grappenhall Road in Stockton Heath earlier this year.
It is reported that a collision occurred involving a car and a woman, in which a 23-year-old woman suffered a broken leg.
The incident was reported to have occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, March 6, at approximately 12.20am.
Now, more than seven months on, a suspect has been charged by police.
Hasan Zia, of Wellington Road South in Stockport, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
It is alleged that the 24-year-old was driving a Toyota Prius on Grappenhall Road on March 6 when he caused serious injury to a woman by driving dangerously.
He was due to make a first appearance in relation to the charge before Warrington Magistrates’ Court this afternoon, Tuesday.
