A WARRINGTON man was due to appear in court over an alleged incident committed on a bus – but he failed to attend as planned.
Peter Blanchard was set to appear before Manchester Magistrates’ Court last week.
This was over an allegation of him performing an act outraging public decency.
It is alleged that the 44-year-old, of Whitethroat Walk in Birchwood, was on a bus in Salford on August 18 last year.
It is alleged that during the journey, he committed an act outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner.
The particulars of the charge allege that he did so by performing a sex act on himself.
Blanchard was due to make a first appearance in relation to the charge before magistrates, but he failed to attend.
As a result, magistrates issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
