A BELOVED Warrington festival has announced its return in 2025 after a year’s hiatus.

Neighbourhood Weekender is a popular music festival that has been held in Warrington since 2018.

Fans were saddened, however, when it was announced in November 2023 that the event would not be taking place this year.

Making the announcement on social media, organisers confirmed the festival would be postponed until 2025.

After a year’s hiatus, the organisers have taken to social media to confirm that the festival will take place next spring – much to fans delight.

“Phew – lack of news so was starting to think after skipping last year that it wouldn’t return,” one commenter said.

The beloved event has traditionally taken place in Victoria Park across the May bank holiday weekend, and next year will be no exception.

The 13 second video announcement confirmed that the festival will be returning on May 24 and 25 – the May bank holiday.

“This was amazing when we went a couple of years ago, be interesting to see the line up,” another commenter said.

Although the line-up is yet to be announced, fans can expect well-known artists to take to the stage once again.

Noel Gallager, Lewis Capaldi, the Courteeners and Pulp have all previously performed at the Warrington-based festival.
