GILLIVER'S World will help raise vital funds for Children in Need through an award-winning festival next weekend.
A Glow Walk is set to take place as part of Gulliver’s World Theme Park’s Land of Lights festival.
Land of Lights, which runs from November 9 until January 4, recently received the gold award for best new event at the UK Theme Park Awards.
This year’s theme, WonderWild, will reimagine majestic creatures and feature music, entertainment, and a selection of street food.
Thousands of participants are expected to walk along the one-mile trail and explore the array of lanterns, all while raising money for BBC’s Children in Need.
On Sunday, November 10, £2 of every ticket sold will be donated to Children in Need ahead of the BBC’s official appeal on November 15.
Sponsorship forms can also be downloaded for those looking to help raise even more money.
Attendees are invited to dress in their best, bright outfits to walk along the trail in and those who do will receive a free ticket to any of the Gulliver’s Theme Parks, for use in early 2025.
“Last year’s Glow Walk exceeded our expectations and the excitement for this year’s event is growing as the big day draws near,” said Ross Partridge, Land of Lights festival manager.
“It is wonderful to again be raising money for BBC Children in Need, which is a national institution and supports so many great causes.
“We look forward to seeing as many people as possible dressed up in bright, shiny clothing for the Glow Walk – young or old, whatever your level of fitness, it’s an event suitable for everyone- just don’t forget, running is not allowed.”
