A squadron of air cadets has announced an annual festival.

The 1330 (Warrington) Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets is set to host the Festival of Remembrance.

The event will take place at St Elphin's Parish Church on November 9, from 6:30pm.

It is described as a 'touching tribute to the service and sacrifices of our armed forces'.

The festival will feature performances from the Warrington Male Voice Choir and Warrington Brass Band, readings, and a wreath-laying ceremony.

The aim is to unite the community in remembrance and appreciation of those who have served the nation.

Flight Lieutenant Alan Radcliffe RAFAC, commanding officer of 1330 Squadron, said: "It is imperative for us, as a community and as a nation, to come together and remember the sacrifices made by so many.

"This festival is not just a tribute but also a reminder of the value of peace and the hope for a better future."

The event is open to the public, with tickets priced at £5.

All proceeds will go to the Royal British Legion and the 1330 (Warrington) Squadron.
