A WARRINGTON woman charged in relation to a child sex offence investigation at a care home has entered pleas in court.
Lindy Leah, of Capesthorne Road, Orford, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court via video link to state her plea, having been charged with abuse of a position of trust and causing or inciting sexual activity with a child.
The 43-year-old, currently being held at HMP Styal, faces charges in connection with a probe into staff at a privately-run care home in St Helens.
She has also been charged with being concerned in the supply of class B drugs, namely cannabis and ketamine.
Also arrested in connection with the probe, Morgan Quigley, of Cooperage Close, Toxteth, appeared in person for the plea hearing – having been given conditional bail.
Quigley, 27, was charged with being concerned in the supply of ketamine.
Leah entered a not guilty plea to the offence of abuse of a position of trust and causing or inciting sexual activity with a child.
Judge Catherine Pierpoint confirmed a trial date was set for February 10 and stated this would take an estimated five days.
Leah did however plead guilty to the two drug offences.
It was confirmed she would be sentenced for these offences following the conclusion of her trial.
