ANOTHER unauthorised traveller encampment has been reported in Warrington.

Three caravans and associated towing vehicles pitched up at Gateway Trade Park off Winwick Road on Sunday.,

This is according to an unauthorised encampment log for Cheshire and Warrington, operated by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The Cheshire and Warrington Traveller Team confirmed that Cheshire Police was requested to attend the site due to it being privately owned.

It comes following other unpermitted caravan camps reported in the town over the past week.

Last Thursday, two caravans and towing vehicles arrived at Morrisons off Wilderspool Causeway, with bailiffs instructed to attend.

Police were also requested to attend the former University of Chester Padgate Campus following the arrival of caravans without permission last Wednesday.
