POPULAR pop rock band, Scouting for Girls, has praised Warrington after performing a sold-out show last week.
Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Pete Ellard met when they were children and went on to start the band in 2005.
They soared to popularity in 2007 with their self-titled album, which included hits like She’s So Lovely, Elvis Ain’t Dead and Heartbeat.
The former Warrington Music Festival headliners are no stranger to the town and returned once again last week to perform.
Scouting for Girls took to the stage on Thursday for their tour, The Place We Used to Meet.
They shared pictures of their performance on Instagram and called the town ‘wonderful Warrington’.
“Wonderful Warrington. You’re in my head like a show I can’t forget,” the post read.
The post referenced one of the band’s latest releases, Song I Can’t Forget, and was filled with comments from fans at the show.
“Thanks for a great night, you were AMAZING,” one fan commented.
The Brit Award winners have since travelled down south to continue their tour, which is set to finish on November 16.
