A WOMAN had to be taken to hospital after a car crashed into a house in Lowton.
At around 8.45am on Sunday, October 20, a road traffic collision was reported to the emergency services on Mirfield Close in Lowton.
With one fire engine from Leigh quickly dispatched to the scene, fire crews found that a car had crashed into a residential bungalow, which caused some damage to the brickwork and window.
A woman was treated at the scene by a fire service trauma technician and later taken to hospital in an ambulance.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 8.45am on Sunday 20 October, fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Mirfield Close, Lowton.
“One fire engine from Leigh was quickly mobilised the incident, which involved a car colliding with a semi-detached house.
"A woman was treated at the scene by a fire service trauma technician and was later taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
“Firefighters were at the scene for about an hour and a half.”
