POLICE have been involved after a car was engulfed in flames.
Two fire engines from Warrington and Penketh fire stations rushed to the Old Hall area of the town late last night, Wednesday.
This came after Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a vehicle fire at around 11.15pm.
Following the arrival of firefighters, a fire involving a saloon car was extinguished by crews using a hose reel jet.
The crews then dampened the affected area down.
A fire service spokesman said: “Police were informed as it is believed the fire was started deliberately.”
