A ‘GAME changing’ programme brought into classrooms across Warrington to help children’s wellbeing is set to take off in other areas across the country.

Happy Kids Yoga was founded by local entrepreneur Jen Hoe back in 2015 with the hope of helping children as young as nursery-age learn how to build emotional resilience and release stress through yoga.

And Jen has recently announced the exciting news that the business is set to expand its services outside of the WA postcode and on to other areas of the UK.

Speaking on the huge leap, founder Jen said: “Warrington has been the heart and soul of Happy Kids Yoga,”

“We started out with just a few classes, but as parents and teachers saw the incredible impact yoga was having on children’s well-being, the demand grew quickly.

“We’ve seen children become more confident, better at managing their emotions, and more connected to themselves – skills that are so important in today’s fast-paced world.”

Having worked with thousands of children in schools and nurseries in Warrington, Happy Kids Yoga has gained a reputation for improving focus, reducing stress, and fostering emotional resilience in young minds.

The programme has helped to introduce yoga into part of the daily routine at schools in the borough and in turn this has led to improvements within each pupil’s concentration and how they manage stress and anxiety.

Many teachers have reported the incorporation of yoga into the school day has been a ‘game changer’, stating that students who participate are better able to focus in class and have a more positive attitude towards learning. “We believe in creating a fun, non-competitive environment where children feel safe and supported,” Jen said.

“When kids feel good about themselves, it shows in their confidence, their ability to cope with challenges, and their interactions with others. That’s what Happy Kids Yoga is all about.”

From local success to nationwide impact, what started as Jen’s small initiative has experienced significant growth over the years.

So much so that by 2022, Jen had expanded the Happy Kids Yoga team to meet increasing demand from schools and nurseries.

Now, with plans to launch franchises across the UK, the business aims to replicate the success it has had in Warrington, giving more children the opportunity to experience the benefits of yoga and mindfulness.

“We’ve seen firsthand how yoga can transform the lives of children,” the founder added. “It’s not just about the physical aspect – it’s about giving kids tools they can use throughout their lives to stay grounded, focused, and confident. We’re excited to take this next step and bring the program to communities beyond Warrington.”
