A physiotherapy clinic is celebrating five years of business.
Stockton Heath Physiotherapy and Wellness was launched by Dan Massey, who left his positions at the NHS and Manchester United FC to start the business.
Initially based at Anytime Fitness in Stockton Heath, Mr Massey grew the clinic before taking over from local physiotherapist Sheila Nesbitt in October 2019.
The clinic was modernised, introducing new computer systems and various advanced treatment options, and soon found a foothold in the community.
However, the clinic faced an unexpected challenge just months after its expansion.
With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, the clinic was forced to close its doors temporarily.
On reopening, the clinic had to adapt to new social distancing measures and other safety protocols.
Despite these challenges, the clinic managed to thrive in the post-pandemic world.
In the past year, it has further expanded, opening a fourth treatment room and a Pilates studio across the road from the main clinic.
The team has also grown from two or three to a dedicated group of 12, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Reflecting on the journey so far, Mr Massey expressed gratitude for the support of the community.
He said: "As we look back on the past five years, Iβm incredibly grateful for the support of clients like you who have made this journey possible.
"Youβve trusted us with your care, joined us through the ups and downs, and allowed us to grow into the clinic we are today.
"Hereβs to many more years of serving this amazing community and continuing to be a part of your wellness journey.
"Thank you for being with us and for making these five years so special."
The clinic now offers a range of treatments including footscan technology, orthotics, shockwave therapy, Pilates classes, and even home visits.
It continues to review its services every three months in order to learn and improve.
The clinic is planning to celebrate its fifth birthday with some team bonding activities, including a pottery painting session.
