OCCUPANTS of a car that flipped onto its roof in a crash fled the scene having been reportedly spotted ‘inhaling from balloons’.

Cheshire Police has confirmed it was called to Enfield Park Road in Fearnhead, at the roundabout junction with Blackbrook Avenue and Capesthorne Road close to Peel Hall Park.

This was yesterday afternoon, Thursday, shortly after 5.35pm, with another car fleeing the area at speed.

The force is now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and speak to officers.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 5.35pm on Thursday, October 10, police were called to reports of a collision at a roundabout on Enfield Park Road, Warrington.

“Officers attended and found that a red Skoda had overturned on the roundabout.

“The two occupants of the car, who were witnessed inhaling balloons, fled the scene on foot in the direction of Grasmere Avenue.

“Witnesses also reported that the Skoda had been travelling in convoy with a Black Audi A3, which was seen fleeing the area at speed.

“It was also reported that the Audi reversed into another car, near to Aviemore Close, causing a minor scratch.”

The spokesman confirmed that enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing.
